At Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church, it is our mission to be a welcoming congregation that transforms and connects lives in Christ, and shares in the joy of celebrating the grace and glory of God through meaningful worship, study, service, outreach, and caring relationships of our members and community.

Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church is committed to feeding those in special time of need. Jesus once fed an entire crowd of thousands who were in need of a meal. The day had quickly turned to evening and the people were growing weary. Some suggested that Jesus send the crowds away to find food in the nearby towns, but Jesus had greater plans. He told his disciciples, "I want you to give them something to eat." What followed was the miracle of the fish and loaves.

Do you know of someone in a paritcular need of a meal and a visit? Do you have particular gifts in cooking or baking?

If you would like to get involved with this ministry, please contact Debbie Nichols.

CanCare is a cancer survivor support network which matches newly diagnosed cancer patients and/or their caregivers with a trained volunteer as closely as possible by gender, cancer site, treatment, family situation, etc. Volunteers are walking messages of hope who improve the quality of life for cancer patients and their families.

Second Family is an outreach ministry working in partnership with Interfaith CarePartners Inc. supporting God’s call to serve His people.

The ministry’s mission is to offer home-centered support to people who may benefit from fellowship or practical assistance.  Our ministry meets a critical and growing need for companionship and practical help for individuals and families facing chronic illness, injury, loneliness and exhaustion from intensive caring for others.

In order for our Second Family Care Team to continue to minister to people in our congregation and our community, we need additional team members to join us in this important work.

Second Family requires only as little time as you desire to give.  Please prayerfully consider sharing your talents to serve God and our community by joining our Second Family ministry.
