On November 28, 2017, at 6 PM, we invite you to participate in a casual “Hanging of the Greens,” here at the church.
What IS “Hanging of the Greens?”
One of the first things the early church did, in preparation for Advent, was to hang greenery, traditionally associated with everlasting life. Greens such as cedar for royalty, fir and pine boughs for everlasting life, holly symbolizing Jesus' death and ivy representing the resurrection were used (and in some churches, still are).
While our green décor isn’t “live,” we look forward to having you join us!
Contact Missy Chapman, no later than Monday morning, November 27, 2017, if you would like to arrange childcare.
