  • The Voyager class is studying the Book of Confessions. This study encompasses the official texts of the eleven confessional statements of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Each creed is introduced by an essay providing historical and theological background of our reformed faith.
  • The Cultivators and Adventurers classes have joined together for a study of the history and context of the Bible. We will continue our study of how the Bible is one continuous story of God's people as we work through The Story by Randy Frazee. Join us at the coffee bar in Room 209 on Sunday mornings at 10:00am.   • The Last Wednesday Book Club meets Wednesday, July 26th at 12:30pm at GLPC. We are reading The Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks.
  • Prayer Group - If you are interested in praying in a group, please join us at 10am on Tuesday, August 8th in Room 209.
    Back to School Celebration Luncheon – Sunday, August 13th immediately following the 11:00am worship service.
    Sign up for this fun event by following the link at www.grandlakespc.org/events or via the Churchlife app. Participants will be asked to sign up to bring sandwiches, salad, a side dish or a dessert to share.
  • You are not meant to endure cancer alone. Cancer is hard but does not have to be lonely. CanCare is a nonprofit organization of trained volunteers who, themselves, are cancer survivors.   • Flower Arranging Class on July 22nd. Interested in learning how to make arrangements for worship? Lovie Price will teach all the basics plus tips and tricks for flower baskets. RSVP to Melanie.
  • Sweet Hour of Prayer - GLPC invites you to its new Prayer Room for a “Sweet Hour of Prayer That Calls Me from a World of Care.” The cozy room is available whenever the church is open and is on the second floor between the media booth and Room 209. Spend some personal quality time with God, let go of anxiety, re-center yourself and grow your spirituality.
  • The Friday Women's Bible study is taking on a mission project in which you may want to participate. We would like to provide a welcome basket to at least one of seven single parent homes at the Presbyterian Single Parent Homes on West Bellfort in Houston. This would consist of bed linens (twin or full flat), towels, dishes for 4, flatware, glasses, cleaning supplies, storage container, and gift card.   • Junior High Youth Mission Trip – June 11-16, 2017. This summer, those students in 6th, 7th or 8th grade during the 2016-17 school year will travel to San Antonio to work with Blueprint Ministries by helping families in need of major home repairs. The trip will include 4 days of service and a fun day on Friday. Register online by January 31st; your payment confirms your registration. For more information, please visit GLPC’s website. 
  • Senior High Youth Mission Trip – July 9-15, 2017. Senior High Students that were in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grades for the academic year 2016-17, will travel to Jacksonville, FL to partner with HS students from First Presbyterian of Strasburg, PA. In Jacksonville, students will stay in newly renovated dorms and will work with locally established social ministries coordinated by Jacksonville's Presbyterian Social Ministries. The trip will include 2 travel days, 4 days of service plus a fun day. Register by January 31st; your payment confirms your registration. Please see GLPC’s website for additional information.
  • Babies and Blessings! Babies and Blessings is a group for moms, babies and preschool children meeting the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 10-11:00am at the church. Nursery is provided for the children while moms enjoy fellowship and Bible Study. For information, please contact Becky Ghazi.
  • Nursery Volunteers - We are looking for nursery volunteers who are passionate about Jesus and kids ages Infant-Preschool who can help on Sundays at 9am, 10am, or 11am when available.   • The Friday Morning Women's Bible Study meets at the church each Friday at 9:00 am. We will continue our study of 1 Corinthians. If you have not been to our Bible Study, this would be a great time to start!! Contact Judy with questions or just come Friday at 9:00 in room 201. Child care can be provided upon request.
  • The Friday Morning Men’s Study meets every Friday morning at 6:30 in Room 201. Contact Walt Glover for more information.
