Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church is a conservative, orthodox, Protestant, Reformed, Christian community, locally residing within the Presbyterian Church (USA). We seek to provide opportunities for life-transformation in Jesus Christ. GLPC was chartered by the PC(USA), the largest and oldest of the Presbyterian denominations. We are a “new church development,” formally chartered 2005, by the Presbytery of The New Covenant. We have approximately 550 members (and continuing visitors) in our faith community.
Within the PC(USA) we would be characterized as “evangelical.” Other, conservative (evangelical) Presbyterian churches in the area include the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), Cumberland Presbyterian Church (CPC) and the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians (ECO). We seek to avoid being a “consumer” oriented church, competing with large, market driven programs and promotions. Rather, we focuson one-on-one relationships, and community strength in Christ. Jesus was clear: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
The best way for you to get to know us is come visit! At GLPC we say "the mark of a church is not it's seating capcity, but it's greeting capacity!" We'd love to meet you! In the mean time, you can learn more about us through our vision, mission and values below.
We are an inter-generational and multi-cultural community
of faith that welcomes all who enter our doors.
